PROGRAM BACKGROUND
Financial Success Principle-is Financial Resource, Training, Education and Literacy program for Deaf Business Owners, Parents, Seniors, Students, and children providing unique and rewarding financial literacy and leadership
experiences.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Program Coordinators are responsible for planning and coordinating all operational facets of their programs.
Responsibilities include hiring, training, coordination, and supervision of field staff, solicitation and scheduling of
projects, development and implementation of staff training programs, ongoing project management, and review,
coordination and expansion of all program safety procedures. This position requires a person with energy and
creativity, a person dedicated to helping teenage youth develop the skills they need to lead a successful life and a
person interested in promoting the growth of a generation dedicated to stewardship of our public lands and our
nation’s natural communities.

Each Program Coordinator supervises three programs per year. Two summer sessions and one of either LDT,
Spring, or Fall sessions. The Financial Success Principle Program (FSP) is a team based and supportive environment in which Program Coordinators are actively engaged in promoting the Financial Success Principle's vision and development.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Development: The Program Coordinator is responsible for scheduling fee-based projects necessary to support
their program(s). They maintain/establish contracts with state, federal, and non-governmental personnel and
work to increase the number and diversity of program project sponsors. As needed, the Program Coordinator
lends support to other FSP program elements.

Personnel: The Program Coordinator is responsible for the recruitment, hiring, training, supervision,
coordination and performance of field staff as well as the overall performance of field youth crews.

• Administrative:
The Program Coordinator is responsible for completing required paperwork (quarterly and
annual reports, program production summaries, accident reports, etc.) associated with each program. The
Program Coordinator is responsible for collection and disbursement of field staff paperwork (petty cash,
mileage reports, time sheets, etc.) and the preparation and submission of project billings.

• Management: The Program Coordinator supervises 8-10 program field staff and 40-50 participants, and
provides necessary ongoing training and technical support to ensure projects are being completed in a safe,
professional and productive manner. Supports repair and maintenance of tools and equipment as required.

• Program Support: Each Program Coordinator will take part in projects during periods when they are not directly
involved in the coordination of field programs; e.g., review of program safety protocols, revision of training
materials, development of educational curricula, database management, coordination of special technical
trainings, and equipment repair and maintenance.

• Field Opportunities: During periods in which the Program Coordinator has crews operating their responsibilities
will include weekends, as well as providing on-site project support to staff and crews a minimum of four days
during week days. Additionally, Program Coordinators may be needed to lend support to other Youth Corps
staff at peak times.

Commitment: Intake Specialists are needed on a semester schedule and rolling basis. FSP prioritizes long-term
volunteers who gain skills and experience during their time at ESP, enabling them to more fully contribute. This Intake Specialist is expected to commit to 6-30 hours per week.

JOB DESCRIPTION

BASIC FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITY
Work with FSP's programs, events, publications, alumni outreach, networking and sponsor/donor relationship activities, and help support their fundraising and collection activities. Help promote the spirit of high tech entrepreneurship at SFP Program Events and foster a sense of pride in being connected with the Institute in all activities, including:

CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Community Building:
Support and promote the SFP Entrepreneurship Center’s community building, networking, events, and public relations efforts within the SFP Program, and both inside and outside of the SFP community, through press releases and public outreach.

Event Planning, Organization, and Execution:
Help develop and execute of various programs, including but not limited to, Entrepreneurship
Development Program (EDP), Gala Networking Reception, and other future events to be determined.

Marketing:
Support, develop, and maintain strategic marketing and communications activities of the SFP Entrepreneurship Center. In particular, track prospective candidates and help to sell MMA, BizPack and Insurance Policies.

Public Relations:
Manage relationships and communications with Corporate and Events Donors.

Information Management:
As with all SFP Entrepreneurship Center Staff, collaborate with Web Database Communications Specialist to ensure accurate and up-to-date contacts database and website content, bulletin board, and PowerPoint presentations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree required. Familiarity with financial and academic institutions and/or new venture creation is
highly desirable. An understanding of marketing, event planning, PR, and or donor/sponsor relations is a must. Prefer at least 1-2 other languages in addition to perfect English. Extremely organized, high energy, affable, creative, self-starting person, able to work both independently and with a large and changing team of faculty, practitioners, entrepreneurs,
students and student team leaders. Should have a strong bias toward action. May work nights and a few weekends. Excellent supervisory and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of standard office software packages, e.g., MS Office and Access, Powerpoint, Filemaker Pro, Eudora, Adobe Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Pagemaker, and advanced Internet applications is required. Good communications and presentation skills. Ability to relate well to faculty, senior executives and entrepreneurs. Good judgment, tact and discretion in dealing with sensitive and confidential material. Ability to work under pressure of time, multiple simultaneous demands, and multiple constituencies. Meticulous, sharing, collegial.
